- The game has no account of its own. We never ask for your name, e-mail, phone number, contacts, photos or precise location.
- Your progress is saved on your device.
- The free version shows ads from Google AdMob, which collects device and usage information to show and measure ads. Buying Remove Ads turns ads off, and the ad service is no longer started.
- If you allow it, GameAnalytics receives anonymous gameplay statistics and crash reports. Switch this off any time in Settings → Purchases & Privacy.
- If you sign in to Game Center or Google Play Games, Apple or Google stores your scores, achievements and, on Android, a cloud copy of your save.
- Purchases are handled by the App Store or Google Play. We never see your payment details.
1Information collected and who collects it
1.1 Saved on your device only
Your progress and settings (coins, unlocked fish and worlds, records, options) are stored in a file on your device and are not sent to us. Delete it by uninstalling the game or with Reset progress in Settings.
1.2 Advertising: Google AdMob (free version only)
In the free version on iOS and Android, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects and shares the following with Google, for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention:
- Device identifiers: the Android advertising ID or app set ID; on iOS, the advertising identifier (IDFA) only if you allow tracking, otherwise app-bound identifiers.
- IP address, used to estimate your general location.
- Interactions such as app launches, taps and ad views.
- Diagnostic and performance information such as launch time and crashes.
This data is sent over encrypted (TLS) connections. Google acts as an independent controller for some of these purposes; see its policies in section 9.
Consent: in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, Google's consent form asks for your choices before ads load. On iOS, Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt asks whether ads may use the IDFA. If you decline, you see non-personalised or limited ads. Change your consent any time with Settings → Purchases & Privacy → Privacy Options (shown where consent applies). Once you buy Remove Ads, the game no longer starts the ad SDK.
1.3 Anonymous analytics and crash reports: GameAnalytics (optional)
When enabled, the game sends the following to GameAnalytics (GameAnalytics ApS, Denmark):
- a random install ID created on first launch. It is not linked to your name, accounts or advertising ID, and it resets if you reinstall. On iOS the SDK may also use the vendor identifier (IDFV), never the advertising identifier.
- Gameplay events: runs (world, distance, coins, duration), boss results, treasure chests and Lucky Charms, secrets found, tutorial steps, daily rewards, store purchases made with in-game coins, whether Remove Ads was bought or restored (yes/no only), ads shown or failed, and an average frame-rate bucket.
- Error and crash reports: the error and where it happened in the code, device model, OS version, graphics chip, game version and the names of the last few events.
- Device and app information added by the SDK: platform, OS version, device model and manufacturer, app version, language/country and connection type.
Nothing is sent before you consent where consent is required (EEA, UK, Switzerland), while Share anonymous usage data is off, or in development builds. Switching it off also deletes events still waiting on your device.
1.4 Game Center and Google Play Games (optional)
If you are signed in, your best distances and achievements are sent to Apple or Google for leaderboards and achievements. On Android, a copy of your save is stored in your Google Play Games saved games so your progress survives a reinstall or a new phone. The game shows your player name from these services but does not send it to us. Apple and Google process this data under their own policies and your account settings.
1.5 In-app purchases
The Remove Ads purchase is processed by the App Store or Google Play, which confirm it to the game so it can unlock and later restore it. We do not receive your name, card or billing details.
2Why we use information, and our legal bases
| Purpose | Data | Legal basis (EEA/UK) |
|---|---|---|
| Showing and measuring ads in the free version | AdMob data (1.2) | Your consent where required; otherwise our legitimate interest in funding a free game |
| Improving balance and fixing bugs | Analytics and crash data (1.3) | Your consent where required; otherwise legitimate interest, with an opt-out |
| Leaderboards, achievements, cloud save | Game Center / Play Games data (1.4) | Providing the service you chose by signing in |
| Unlocking and restoring purchases | Purchase confirmation (1.5) | Performing our contract with you |
We do not sell your personal information, and we make no automated decisions with legal effects.
3Sharing
We share data only with the providers and platforms named above: Google (AdMob, its consent platform, Google Play, Google Play Games), Apple (App Store, Game Center) and GameAnalytics. Partners in Google's ad network may receive data as described in Google's policies. We may disclose information if the law requires it.
4Retention
- On your device: until you reset progress or uninstall.
- GameAnalytics: raw events are kept for a limited period under its data-retention policy, then deleted or kept only in aggregated form.
- Google and Apple: as described in their policies and your account settings.
5Your choices and rights
- Ad consent: Settings → Purchases & Privacy → Privacy Options (where shown). On iOS also Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking; on Android, reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's Google settings.
- Analytics: switch off Settings → Purchases & Privacy → Share anonymous usage data.
- Cloud save, leaderboards, achievements: sign out, or manage your data in Game Center or Google Play Games.
- Local data: Reset progress, or uninstall the game.
- Your rights: depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or California's CCPA/CPRA) you may access, correct or delete your data, object to its processing, and complain to your data-protection authority. Because the game does not know who you are, we usually cannot link analytics data to a person; switching off data sharing stops all further collection. If you ask us to delete data, we will work with GameAnalytics to delete what can be linked to your device.
6Children
Fin to Orbit is not directed at children under 13 (or under the minimum age of digital consent in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has used the game and data was collected, contact us and we will help delete it.
7Security and international transfers
All data the game sends travels over encrypted connections. Google, Apple and GameAnalytics may process data outside your country, including in the United States and the EU, using safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
8Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and, for important changes, tell you in the game or the store listing.
